As part of a large firm, this office comprises of a small team which carries out a wide variety of work on projects such as main roads, residential and industrial subdivisions, sloping sites, contaminated sites and single, commercial and high rise apartment buildings.

The role:
- Working closely with the team and reporting to the Canberra Office Manager, this role will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including:
- Planning and implementing field investigations including logging of core and test pits
- Undertaking geological assessment and geotechnical analysis including settlement and stability calculations, retaining wall and footing design
- Report preparation
- Client liaison and project management


The challenges:
The main challenge will be to balance the demands and achieve project outcomes from the range of projects available.

The Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer that will be capable of working on a large subdivision project, involving major earthworks and general infrastructure work.

You will have between 3-5 years experience in the civil industry and have a proven track record on similar projects.

Important skills you will possess will be:
* The ability to prepare and manage contractual claims
* Ability to plan and schedule works
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills

You will also hold a bachelor of civil engineering degree or its equivalent qualification.

About the Role
